This book could have been so much. I have a background in Psych, and in theory this should have been something I really enjoyed.

But I just didn't. Even if we ignore the boundary breaking going on by the Psychotherapist, he still doesn't act like a Psychotherapist let alone one that had been working at Broadmoor for ~5 years.

this book would be 5 starts except for the fact that i didn’t love that it ended so abruptly and the writing style definitely takes more to be able to understand but by the end of the book i could read the style well so that’s mainly just my opinion not an actual “flaw” of the book itself. besides those things i love love loved this book and it kept me interested up until the very end i’ll definitely be picking up this authors other books. i kept thinking i had guessed the ending throughout the book but trust me it’s the ultimate plot twist haha i never saw it coming. definitely recommend this book!! this was my first ever thriller (i think) and i will definitely be reading more!! :)

please, please, PLEASE, do yourself a favor and read this book. I've heard so much about this book and about how good it was supposed to be. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I loved every fucking second I spent reading this and most likely will read it many more times in the future. best thriller I've read in  a LONG time. HIGHLY recommend you take the time to read.
