Childhood

This is my first time reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I can see why it’s so popular among children and to remains still till today.

What a delightful little story. I loved the drawings and the drama and mischieve in the story. A wonderful read for children, but could als be read as a grownup. Loved it.

Re-read in October 2017

A timeless children's story with equally timeless illustrations. I think I enjoy the illustrations more than the actual story, but I had a collection of Beatrix Potter as a child and they make me feel so warmly nostalgic it's hard not to love them.

Well written, surprisingly dense and dark for a children's book
adventurous dark emotional lighthearted tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

The story is fine, and perhaps a good teaching tool, but 5 stars for the illustrations.
funny lighthearted fast-paced

classic

Listened to the Jeff Bridges audiobook version of this story and I am here to say I am quite pleased with how well his raspy voice adds to this tale. The story itself is cute and centers around Peter getting into some trouble. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.
