This book was amazing. I loved the whole premise of it, but especially writing the story backwards. It was such a beautiful love story, spanning at least 7 years, from friends to enemies to lovers to everything for each other, it was beautiful.

DNF

Ridiculous premise. When the author says how intelligent the female lead is but them makes her only do and say stupid things....not my jam.

I feel like this was a missed opportunity, the book should have started earlier, we should have gotten to see their email relationship before the Lanie becomes his editor, I also think this would have hugely benefited from being dual POV, I had a fun time reading but I wanted more

I also feel the enemies to lovers plotline was not fleshed out at all, she hates him when she finds out who he is but it’s not because she feels betrayed by someone she thought she knew and had been friends with for years, because she has found out her fave author is selfish and rude etc, before that point she had met him once and he did nothing to suggest that about his personality, then after one more meeting she no longer dislikes him, I feel like it didn’t need to be marketed as enemies to lovers and the conflict at that point could have purely been the betrayal she felt at finding out her friend of 7 years wasn’t who she thought!! (Ik that sounds like a spoiler but because we essentially start halfway through their story it’s not, it’s obvious from the beginning due to the nature of the synopsis, like someone else said it’s a really interesting part of the plot that should have been included in the synopsis)
