This is closer to the "slow burn" type of romance that I was hoping to see in book #1 of the series. The characters are loveable even if painfully predictable, and at times the dialogue made me roll my eyes hard

Ultimately it was a fun and quick read for me, although unlikely to be memorable in the long run. If you like Hallmark movies but want something with a just a smidge more spice, this will be perfect for you.

2 words: Weston. Ryder.

But in all seriousness, I was shocked to discover that I liked this one more than done and dusted. It would’ve been a 5 star read for me but I felt like the situation that happened about 90% into the book was unnecessary after what happened on Ryder Day. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed this and can’t wait for the series/movie!

The first one was better, this one felt forced.
