Deliciously Fun!
Continuing the holiday novellas, this was next up and I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was! Alice is obsessed with Chef Mike Kesso and winds up as a contestant on the baking show Second Bite. Little does she know, he becomes equally obsessed with her.
This an age-gap, insta-love, with a side of spice, novella. Cute, short, and super fun. Mike & Alice definitely are perfect for each other. Some funny parts.. would have liked to see more of their future together but all in all, 4 stars!

**ARC Review**
As always SJ Tilly has written a great story. I'm not huge on the insta-love trope. However, this novella is going to be the perfect quick holiday read. Everything was perfectly balanced, and didn't seem rushed.

Like everything else I've read by S.J. Tilly, this holiday themed novella hits it out of the park! I'm not usually one for instant love, but this one was really well done and I adored both characters. The story itself captured me right away and I love the perspective of being part of a baking show. Not something I've read before and Tilly did the little time hops perfect without making it jarring and it added perfectly to the progression of this story. I can't wait to see what Tilly gives us next!

Read this in the middle of a slump when I needed a book that wouldn't destroy me emotionally and this was a fantastic pallet cleanser. Perfect length and great for when you need a quick HEA.

Romance and baking are two are my favorite things! Having SJ put them in a short novella is the icing on any cake I’ll eat!!
This was such a quick, fun, spicy holiday read. Alice participates in a live cooking show competition and who is the judge?! Her crush, Michael Kesso! Michael does not want to do another competition show but boy is he glad he did when he sets his eyes on Alice! Through the live show, not only is Alice trying to keep her cool but Michael is also trying to make sure that his instant attraction isn’t obvious to the viewers.
It was quick and easy read. I feel with novellas the relationship development is an instant crush/love and it was done perfectly. Although quick, there was enough plot to keep me entertained and to keep turning the page to see what is going to happen! I loved this!!

This was a hot mess. Even from a novella stand point, the plot was all over the place and gave about as much as if a six year old was giving the details. It was way too insta-love, and not just “wow I really like her,” insta-love, no like “I knew I was going to marry her from the moment I saw her,” insta-love. It was all just too much too quick. That ending was almost too cringy for me to get through. Even the competition was extremely rushed. I rate novellas differently than I do novels because they are not meant to be these well developed, in depth stories but rather just a quick fun time. But it was so rushed I couldn’t even just sit back, turn off my brain and enjoy it.
I waited waaaaaaay to long to read this book but I'm so glad I finally did!! And just in time for Christmas. I love @sjtillyauthor ❤️❤️ I love her writing, I love her characters, I love her spicy scenes
