I really enjoyed this one. Might be my favorite in the series.

The action felt realistic. The chemistry was INSANE and I was here for all that banter. Shelby's Internal dialogue was just the relatable weirdness I live for - because have you really lived if you haven't had multiple conversations with yourself??

Now here's to the bitter sweet feeling of completing a series. All the girlie are locked and loved. Everybody has a badass man of their own and all is sunny and sexy for the Boston Baddies.

I got this when it was free on Amazon this week and I'm glad I didn't pay any money for it. I liked the female lead Shelby and her voice, the snarky commentary / inner monologue worked for me as well as part of her backstory.

The male lead though? Yes, good looking, charming, protective, but sooooo unprofessional. Ugh! I'm fine with occasional crossing lines between job and romantic entanglement, but this here was just way too much. The crime plot itself also was rather ludicrous and I'm not sure the timeline of the backstory here works either. Russia or rather the USSR were still a Communist nation in the early 90s, wasn't it? Anyway, I skimmed through the 2nd half, because I was already quite annoyed but that point. I guess I'll skip the rest of the Boston series as well....

Single POV
Narrator: Stephanie Wyles

I read this as a standalone. I have a thing for FBI heroes so when I saw that this book had that I put it on my TBR.
I was a little disappointed though because, although this definitely is a romance... There is much more focus on everything else happening around the couple.
Also, it's only the FMC POV and I would have really loved to see things from the grumpy FBI agents person.
Lastly, unfortunately the narrators male voice does not work for me.
But the writing was very smart and there was some  cute banter.

Well this was different than I expected and not in a good way…
This was the perfect example for an amazing concept with bad execution. This was supposed to be a romance but honestly I didn’t felt a single spark or any chemistry between Shelby and Conor, they kissed and obviously they fell in love with each other but I just kept asking why.
Unfortunately I didn’t enjoyed this book at all.

Worst of the series imo. He was too much of an ahole in beginning for my liking and also hate how the other characters weren't in this at all- every other book has cameos but this one smh.
