In all fairness, I listened to this over the course of like 24 hours so I'm sure I missed minor details but that doesn't change the fact it was a little too long but still left no time to revisit certain plot points that just got kind of glossed over.
I also still hate Lila Bard.
I already bought The Fragile Threads of Power since I was SO convinced I'd love this series. We'll give it one more try before I give up on it completely since I love the concept of this world and most of its characters.

There are a lot of good things about this book-- the multiple point-of-views of amazing character, an interesting villain, a combining of pain and grief and love. But, for whatever reason, I was really struggling to finish this book. I really enjoy the author's writing, but I just wasn't racing to finish it like I usually read books. Something was missing and I can't put my finger on what.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END? THIS ISNT FAIR.
In all seriousness though, this book was a solid ending to the trilogy. I appreciated that it didn’t end on a negative, and instead had a positive and open ending. I do think it’s strange though how long the book was in terms of pages and yet was only the span of like, a week in their timeline.
