I always enjoy Agatha Raisin. As other characters remark: she is never boring. Agatha begins sleuthing with her neighbor crime novelist, John Armitage. Agatha being Agatha, she eventually goes off on her own to solve the mystery. This book has a twist at the end that can be predicted by sharp observers.

Ah, another day of my favorite delulu girlboss Agatha! Not as memorable because my favs Charles and Roy are no where to be seen but it was still an enjoyable read!

Enjoyed this one quite a bit, even if Agatha's character growth tends to regress periodically. Must admit, the ending made me smile. Can't decide if I want Agatha to change or to never change.

Mystery was a bit more complicated than some of the others, and possibly a bit more farfetched, but still an enjoyable book.

4 out of 5 stars.

Cosy cotswold village whodunnit with a funny heroine and plenty of other engaging characters. An easy read with a nice, quirky feel to it. I enjoyed it but not enough to actively look for others. Probably good books to read on journeys.

Meh. It was ok. Competently written but nothing special. I enjoy the television adaptations of the Agatha Raisin stories, but I can see why they changed the personalities of the regular characters for them. They're all so unbearable in the books.
