This was such a great audiobook. I loved the songs at the end of each chapter. If you want to read this, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook!

“I wonder frequently how many of the memories I carry of Sara are actually my own. How much of my early life have I confused with hers? Our tangled nature makes even me feel interchangeable with Sara- indistinguishable, bound and suffocated.”
GOD !!!! WHAT A BOOK !!! i teared up while reading and I thought about it on my drive home and cried. what a phenomenal book about growing up with a love for music and trying to understand your gayness in the loneliness of adolescence. i love u tegan and sara !!!! thank you for helping me feel like myself since i started listening to your music when i was 12 !!! no one gets me like y’all <3

If I could describe Tegan and Sara’s memoir with one word, I’d describe it as captivating. Tegan and Sara invite us into their High School lives (grades 10-12), where they retell short stories about growing up, friendships, family and music. I was completely riveted and touched by how relatable it all felt about growing up queer and not know what to do with all those feelings. This is the kind of book I wish I read sooner.
