Lighthearted and accessible intro to the contemporary art world, but maybe I went in with too high expectations as it wasn't as in-depth as I would have liked.

I loved this. A whitty, insightful and concise tour through contemporary art and how to understand the art world.

This is a very interesting comment on contemporary art in general, either for connoisseurs or newcomers. The author calls it a love letter to the contemporary art world and very lightly put with a hint of irony and mockery delivers perfectly. It is a soft philosophical book informally discussing big issues in art with the expected grace and whit of Grayson Perry.

I like Grayson Perry's down-to-earth style, gentle humour, and sharp insights into the art world. It's a light, informative, and accessible read with some fun illustrations and I definitely want to read more of his work.

A nice quick read that brings up some interesting questions about art and the art world without being too preachy. It's written in a very conversational tone, which I liked. And I loved the illustrations throughout the book.
