What happens if you feel a spark with someone that is already in a relationship? Is it fair to try to know if there’s more than a spark, knowing that you’ll break a relation?
I always said that in a relationship there’s always a third person on it, it depends on how you are with your partner to be aware of it or not. And I think this is the case in the triangle love/hate story between Jess, Sam and Victoria. Sam and Victoria had been together for the last 3 years, but when Sam meets Jess he can’t continue the relationship she had with Victoria and wants to know more about Jess. Has Jess really broken their relationship or it was not as good and strong as they thought it was?
This had been an addictive read, it was easy to fall in love with the story and understand their points of view, even if Victoria acts like a crazy woman, she feels betrayed and doesn’t know how to act in this new situation. Are they Sam’s friends or hers? Which is the difference between obsession and stalking? How dangerous is jealousy? It’s the other “woman”, the one that broke the relationship or was it broken before? The situation is not easy and it will affect everyone surrounding them, but in the end what will really matter is: is it worth the try? Is the spark they feel worth everything?
Of course you’ll have to read the book if you want to know all the answers, believe me, it will be impossible to put it down!
Ready to discover “The Spark”?

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book!

I thought this was a fun, cute little story about two people that meet and immediately feel a spark between them. It was sweet without being too sweet and silly. The characters are well done and the plot is focused and moves quickly. If you are looking for a quick, fun read, this is a great book for you!

This is a sweet and heartwarming story. This is my first book by Jules Wake and I loved how the author made me engrossed with Jess and Sam's story. As usual, I really do want to see more of Jess and Sam but the ending fits just fine. Like a lego! ;)

Jess is your average girl next door, she's really picky when it comes to meeting men and has a complicated childhood that has really jaded her when it comes to looking for love. It all changes when she meets Sam, and feels "the spark" the first time they meet. It's love at first sight... but Sam's ex-girlfriend is unwilling to let go. Is love at first sight enough?

I looooved this book! I was a bit overwhelmed at the start with the number of characters introduced in the opening scenes but it got so much better as the book progressed. Jess is so relatable and such a sweet character, and Sam is a dreamboat. They both have such good hearts, which is reflected in the way they are and even in the places they work; they always try to do the right thing. You are cheering for them all along. This book is a romance; it's super sweet and heartwarming without being cheesy at all.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read about love and the excitement of feeling that "spark".

Thank you to Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for the eGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

I thought this book was very well written, and I thought the story was unique. I did think it was a bit too insta love, but the way Sam had a girlfriend when they met made it a better story.

I loved both Jess and Sam. The way their relationship progressed was done nicely. I thought the whole aspect of Victoria brought so much more to the story than just being a cutesy romance. It was very realistic the ways she would try to sabotage Sam and Jess’ relationship. I admired Sam with the way he handled the whole situation.

If you are looking for a romance, with a lot of drama, look no further. I found the story both character and plot driven which is always a plus for me. I’m excited to read more by this author.
