This is such a boring book, I was waiting for it to be over. The best part was the different voices done by the actor (I listed to it on CD. If I’d been reading I probably would’ve died of boredom. And that itself would be equally stimulating as this “plot”). I was incredulous that this wasn’t published 100 years before it was. The whole book is just some people trying to figure out one murder that happened years ago by gossiping with other people. So boring.

Felt temporally out of place for the 1970s and I did not care for Ariadne Oliver as it felt more like I was reading a Mrs. Oliver book instead of a Poirot story.

Quite honestly not one of Ms. Christie's best efforts. The solution was rather ableist and macabre. Also any murder story about twins....you already know whodunit.

Not the best Agatha Christie's book I've read, but you can't go wrong with a Hercules Poirot mistery. The plot is very slow for such a little book, and the way she starts it (an imprudent question at a literary lunch) wasn't believable enough to made me care about it. The final reveal though, was, as always, a surprise. Well... part of it anyway.
