Okay So this book was honestly a little hard for me to get into in the beginning because I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style, but I liked the story so I kept going and… I am so glad that I did because this ended up being one of my favorite sports romance books I’ve ever read. Nate Hawkins is my number one, although at some point in the book and really annoyed me with the way that she acted and her attitude and The choices she made, but I  started liking her more and more. The spice in this book was just 🥵🌶️🌶️ SO GOOD

HONESTLY she did not have me in the first half and i struggled to get past the 150 page mark where usually things pick up… i enjoyed the second half because it was a rollercoaster.. i wasn’t expecting any of that!! sadly an insufficient ending for me but also i would be open to read the sequels because i enjoyed all the characters! this is also funny since i thought there were too many supporting characters and it took me a while to remember who was who. i was also surprised because i thought it was going to be more focused on the sports but it wasn’t which i wish it was.

to conclude, definitely not what i was expecting and so im pleasantly surprised but also disappointed! no rating bc i wouldn’t even know how to.

update after reading some reviews: i need to put the disclaimer that you do need to surrender to this book a little to be able to enjoy it since it doesn’t really make too much sense and i can see why most people dnf-ed it

Many people kept telling me this is better than any book in the off campus series. Now I can say this is defiantly better than most of the off campus series but I don't think it is better than The Deal. This being said I rated this book 5/5. I absolutely loved these two together. I found Stassie pretty relatable to me and it was funny to relate to a character. I love Nate he might be my new favorite book boyfriend.
I really like the whole plot of the story line but didn't appreciate the outdoor incident towards the end. Not big on random climaxes of conflicts. I think that overall the book was very good and I am excited to see what else the series will be like.

Anastasia is an ice-skating prodigy attending college in Maple Hills focusing on business and qualifying for the Olympics. Her and her pairs partner, Aaron are roommates and are practically attached at the hip. There’s one big problem- a rival school’s team ruined the hockey team’s rink and now they have to share.

Anastasia hates the hockey type. She quickly becomes Frenemies with the Hockey Captain, Nate. Drunken nights make them lovers. When Aaron gets hurt, the blame falls on Nate.

How will they navigate their goals with this betrayal?

My thoughts: This cutesy, cheesy book is an enjoyable. I love the kindness Nate shows, the diversity in the characters and the found family.

Favorite Quote:  “He answered every question or bout in my mind. It’s not enough to stop the noise, but it has turned the volume down a bit.”
