Icebreaker. ☃️ Also der Titel ist auf jeden Fall mega, es hat mich jedes Mal erfreut, das Cover anzusehen, während ich die Geschichte als Audiobook gehört habe.
Direkt dazu: Sehr gut verständliches, amerikanisches Englisch, was richtig Spaß macht anzuhören. Die Betonungen der Sprecherin und des Sprechers sind on point und ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass die Emotionen und Betonungen von der Autorin genau so intendiert sind, wie sie umgesetzt wurden.
Hat echt Spaß gemacht, das als Audiobook zu hören.
Die Story an sich ist sehr klassisch und voll mit.. ääh.. Klischees. Das ist okay, wenn man weiß, worauf man sich einlässt. "Ich mag ja gar keine Hockeyspieler." ist ein so ein Klischee oder als Mann eifersüchtig werden, wenn die Frau nur einen anderen Mann ansieht und sie dazu übertrieben beschützen wollen auch.
Das sind also erstmal meine Kritikpunkte.
Hinzu kommt ein echt flaches Ende, was klischeemäßiger nicht sein könnte und der Story im Abgang einen gelangweilten Geschmack gibt. Ich saß auf dem Fahrrad und dachte nur so "Echt jetzt??"

Goodreads is punishing me for reading this doesn’t want me to share this review bc it shut down and deleted everything i had to say. So, this (unfortunately) is my second time writing this.
this book was so bad it was ALMOST good.
It was so unnecessarily long for the amount of conflict that there was. The premise was so weak like … just fix the second rink faster like truly what’s the problem. Nate and Stassie’s conflict ends like halfway through. Aaron is terribly written and I have 0 empathy for him. He only exists to be completely unlikable and he just kept getting worse. The dialogue in this was so cringey i’m literally shivering (derogatory) thinking about it. Truly where was the plot.
That being said, I ate up some aspects. No spoilers but the part w/ Stassie on the ice lake? She ate that ONE thing up. Henry was a good character, too. In general Stassie’s relationship w the team was pretty fun. Idk this book was just so easy to read without an ounce of critical thinking needed like thanks for laying out every single detail for me, Hannah Grace.
Overall, though, I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re looking for an extremely trashy sports romance.
