This is a really good installment for the "Sookie Stackhouse" series, i really enjoyed it. These books are soooo different to the tv series and I would be interested to see where they go with the series once they get to this book, as there's so many differences. As always there's a huge mystery that needs to be solved and as always Sookie is dragged into the middle of it. But this time Sookie is in the worst danger she's been in and one of the scenes at the end really disturbed me.... The ending is left wide open so I look forward to the next book. Oh and of course there's a bit of raunchy sex haha! (Can't leave that out!)

I have very little to say about this one, it was a nice quick read just like the others and I did enjoy it.
I'm glad Sookie finally realizes her brother is a massive piece of s**t and Is distancing herself from him. I'm also glad Sam didn't let Arlene's racist a** back into the bar (I never liked her but I can't believe she lured Sookie to what was probably meant to be her death. I'm also super glad Crystal is dead, she was a real piece of work.
I'm glad Sookie and Eric are finally getting things going but I seriously don't understand this marriage thing between them, it was barely explained and it's just confusing. However, I still kinda ship her and Calvin - and to my own immense surprise, I would kinda like her and Bill to have one last hurrah. I certainly shed a tear when I thought Bill was going to die, and I was very sad to see Trey go (he was such a nice guy).

I really enjoyed a lot of these books so far but this one was just not my favorite. Like I literally don't care about Eric anymore and I pretty much predicted what would happen in the end. So it wasn't particularly enthralling for me. Oh well, such is life. I might skim over the last few books just to see how things end but idk if I'll commit to anymore entire books from this series.

It was... fine... I guess. I've now officially given up on trying to remember exactly what happened in earlier books, and as a stand-alone entry, this felt a bit insubstantial. But it was nice that there was a mystery, and it got solved. So yay for that.

These books are as addictive as candy. One of the better ones in the series.

I got a little teary eyed in this one. There's been a darker look in the past few books but this one took it even further. Sad to say bye to some characters.
