Maybe I've grown tired of the endless psychological chat sessions that Loveless enjoys so much, because I did not completely love this volume. I didn't love the pacing and I certainly didn't love Natsuo and Youji, who continue to be terrible. But as far as the plot goes, it's an important volume, and there are moments of brilliance that manage to shine through the clouds.

My complete review of LOVELESS volume 11 can be read here.

A horrible revelation is made about Seimei in this volume. And Nisei, of course, who I already didn’t really like. But the more I read about Seimei, the more I don’t like. He’s horrible.

Then there’s some really cute scenes between Soubi and Ritsuka, until Soubi does something horrible, goaded by Seimei. It breaks Ritsuka’s heart, and it’s horrible. I don’t like it even a bit, but I also don’t really understand why. Just… why, Soubi?

Then we see Ritsuka’s relationship with Youji and Natsuo. Their relationship is just so great, and I love the way they’re there for him after what happened with Soubi, as well as how what Soubi does hurts them, too.

I just love the relationships in this series. Youji and Natsuo are definitely two of my favorite characters, because they are just so interesting and entertaining. I feel so bad for Ritsuka, and I’m now confused by and unhappy with Soubi. The plot is also thickening in very interesting ways, and I’m interested to see where it goes.

I’m very excited to get my hands on the next volume.

At this point in the series, I'm just watching and marveling how much *evil* a single character can unleash in the world.

Really all I want from this series at this point is for a badass social worker to spring onto the page, manga-style, and dish out restraining orders to pretty much EVERYONE except the teacher and the classmate. That's it. Oh and the guppy, the guppy can stay, too.

Loveless really has come a long way since the first omnibus. I’m gonna be honest, this is the best volume since the 4th omnibus IMO.

The parts with
Seimei</spoilers>
were really good and I was shocked at how well written those parts were. So, even if you aren’t that into Boy’s Love, Loveless is a manga very much worth taking a look at. So, I give Loveless Volume 11 a 4.75 out of 5, keep the good work up Yun Kouga!

Also, I really need to get around to buying the 13th volume and the anime’s DVD set sooner or later…I’m also interested in checking out the OVA of one of Yun Kouga’s earlier works, Gestalt, so there’s that as well.
