This book was so so funny. The use of color vs black and white to illustrate the revelations of the idiotic main character was brilliant.

I admit I didn't finish this book. Because I am an elementary school librarian, I thought this would be an interesting graphic novel for teens. I didn't realize until shortly into the book that it was more geared for adults. Thanks to NetGalley for a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

This was so well written with witty humor and poignant prose. Illustrations were so profoundly emotive and alive with energy. I actually laughed out loud several times. This was also a heartbreaking story and very beautiful. A very moving book. I want my own copy!

This is by far one of the more unique and beautiful stories I've read in a good long while. The fact that it's a graphic novel made that all the more enjoyable as a means of actually getting to see what's going on in the main character's head. This is definitely one I could recommend to anyone but especially anyone who has ever had trouble connecting with others or at least reflected on how strange it is to connect with other people.

It's been a couple of weeks since I read this and I don't remember a lot of it, which maybe makes it a 3.5 really. I don't think the story itself blew me away (a man struggling to connect to his emotions and to others) but I did enjoy the drawings a lot and found parts of it quite moving. An enjoyable read.
