emotional funny lighthearted relaxing sad tense medium-paced

This is the 1st book I've read by this author. And it's a sex-a-thon. I think I have to wait a day to give it astars rating. It needs to sit in my subconscious for a minute.

The one thing I'm having trouble with is whether or not this was set in the real world or in a fantasy type setting.

The author definitely left me wondering about the FMCs bestie, Emerald. So book 3?!

I enjoyed this book for the most part but it just dragged a bit too much. I think if it had been cut down then the plot would have been more impactful.

I will say though the spice was spicing.

Have you ever read a book that left you with a feeling like WTH and damn why is this so hot and now I want more. Then this may just be the book for you! This secret society, dark why choose romance was enticing, captivating and overall smoldering. Elliott Rose kept me on the edge of my seat with plot twist after plot twist that I just didn't see coming.

Our FMC Foxglove, Fox for short is a powerhouse. She ran away from the Anguis at the first opportunity she had and never looked back. She hated everything they stood for and what they did. And of course, she always looked over her shoulder waiting for the moment someone would take her back to that world. But when it finally happened, she never expected she would uncover secrets, find love in not just one man but 3 and help heal wounds that should have never been shed. But most importantly became the woman she was always meant to be.

Our smoking smoldering men are none other than Ky (Kyson (my personal favorite)), Raven and DADDY Thorne. Yes, Thorne is Daddy vibes all the way with a capital D! They are all dark and tormented and had only one mission in mind but when Fox infiltrates their minds, they are helpless to her heart. She does something to them that no one ever thought could happen to these men and boy was it epic. These men alone can give you whiplash with their feelings but what man doesn't. Right? But definitely check out this why choose dark romance novel! I can almost guarantee you'll love it, but don't let the size scare you. She may be thick but she's worth it. And I already can't wait till we get the next book because Thorne's twin brother Hawke and his girl Poe are something else!

The best thing about this book is how they all fall for each other. But it seems to happen more abruptly than gradually, and when someone chooses to make a move, the POV is usually on the receiving character so we don’t get to know what the other person is thinking and what led to this change. There is some delicious tension in the beginning though, both between the FMC/MMCs and between the MMCs.

The plot of taking down the human traffickers in the Anguis is quickly moved to the background, which is fine, but that also leads to it not being tied into the story very well. Thorne seems to be the only one with any knowledge about what’s going on, and it all becomes disjointed and hollow. I get that the characters being together is the main focus, but there’s an imbalance with how big the subplot is. Maybe the whole “taking down a world-spanning human trafficking operation”-plot is just a bit too big for a story that essentially about four people coming together and doing a whole lot of fucking.

The FMC kind of disintegrates into pure sexual need and her personality disappears around the halfway mark. I mean.. valid with those three around but still. She used to carry the narrative, know what I mean?

Great smut, especially between the MMCs! And frankly that’s because the author makes it clear that they’re acting on a lifetime of longing and friendship, so there’s more connection there. Wish there was more like it with the FMC. She kind of loses her agency and identity in the smut scenes. There’s a whole lot of lust, but she is in no doubt a passive receiver for most of it, even when she is the instigator.

If you want a spectacular dark why choose romance this book is definitely for you. One of the best dark romances I have ever written. I couldn't put this book down and can't wait until the next one comes out. Great book!

Best reverse harem scenes I've ever read 🥵

I picked this book up and could not put it down! Some are saying that it is long, but for me, time just flew buy as I was immersed in this world of mystery and intrigue. I could not wait to find out what was happening on the next page! This is a dark, why choose romance with a great story as its backbone.

Fox is a tattoo artist minding her own business (or is she?) when the guys absolutely turn everything in her life upside-down.

Our first read flag man is Ky, the sweetheart we immediately love, who loves some kinky s0mn0philia. Our second man waving his red flag is Ven, the scary k1ller we fear, who will hold you down and give you that CNC you’ve craved all your life and didn’t know it. And, third, our man, Thorne, who has a whole fleet of red flags, is an enigma that we’re dying to unravel, and when he starts to let go, he is THE Daddy.

The Anguis are the shadowy governing body of a secret society that Fox escaped from and Ky, Ven, and Thorne are there to drag her back to use her as the key to their plan to illiminate a ring of human tr@ff1kers within their midst.  Their plan is bl00dy and brut@l, and must be completed in full to save hundreds of children from a fate worse than de@}h. This is a mission close to the hearts of all the men.

The plot is all leading to a twisty end I did not see coming and is the perfect foil for enough why-choose s3* to satisfy any craving. Vengeful Gods starts out MMFM, and when Thorne decides to up his game it’s MMMF. The relationships between Fox and the men are very fluid. They do it all in many varied arrangements and formations, there is a variation to please every taste. And the men each have a separate relationship with each other that we get to see and experience, and I am here for all of it. There are enough spicy times to satisfy every sm♤t lover.

I’d like to see more of this world and I really hope we get another book on Fox’s best friend, Emerald, she is curvy girl and a complex character I would love to know more about.
