I did not go into this book thinking I would like it as much as I did, but I literally could not put it down.
I would recommend this to anyone who is into dark romances bc these characters all have a place in my heart.
The plot was plotting, the characters are deep and complex, the emotional build-up is there, and the spice is spicy.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 - but the plot is there too, and the spice doesn't feel excessive for the story progression.
The story is written so well, I will gladly read more by this author!!

I didn't want to leave these characters behind!!!

the dynamic between the men is so damn good. Bc not only do we get the amazing intimacy between Ven and Ky, but the emotional build up between Ky and Thorne is ✨everything✨
And then the way they all just love each other so much and care for each other is *chefs kiss*

Oh my gosh ?? I stayed up way too late and ignored all of my responsibilities to read this. The cover is such an ick but don’t let that sway you. This was like a secret society, contemporary, poly romance. Let’s start with the negatives: I don’t think it was super fleshed out, some plot lines did not make sense to me at all ( for example, the multiple houses?), they did a major switch up that kinda didn’t make sense because how do you go from hate to love out of nowhere? Regardless of all that, I enjoyed the characters. I felt each character was unique and their stories really hit me hard, the relationship building was top tier and for that reason I’m  giving this 4 stars, because that’s uncommon with most why choose books I’ve read. Can’t wait to read the next one, hopefully we get more context

Huh. Well… this was certainly a book that I read.

I did enjoy it, I think.

It got to be a bit much at the end. (I feel that’s an understatement.)

Coming back to add: read the CWs but then also imagine them cranked up to eleven. So much violence. So much abuse. It was a lot. It was… yeah. It was a lot.

There was a lot in this book. The twists and turns had me going. I started this book at about 9.30 pm and was still reading at 2.30 am. It kept me keen to know what came next.

This was very dark in terms of the spice. There were no triggers for me, but some readers may find it difficult. As a book of fiction, it was great.

The connection between the male characters as well as the female character and the spice between them collectively and in twos and threes made this my ideal type of why choose story. Definitely sword crossing.
