I have to disagree with the the reviews that found this book slow & boring . This was THE book to stay up past my bedtime reading under the covers on a cold, snowy night! This book truly surprised me, I really thought there were some great plot twists! I alternated between the audio and the physical book, and the narrators on the audio were fantastic, so perhaps that’s why I didn’t find this book as boring as other reviewers.

Woah. The gasp I gusped at the end. Wild ride. Lots of plot points but listening with a full cast audio made it easy to follow.

Meh. It’s what I wanted out of a read - something for driving and the gym.

If the twist was going to be the women at the club and saving them, I feel like it could have been better. I mean, they were each given some money and told good luck. I don’t know, I feel kind of iffy about that. It’s supposed to be a win-win-win-win for each of the characters at the end, but I like the women of the club got a lesser deal. I know you can’t save everyone and make every situation better but it’s not really a feel good ending for me.

Throughout the book - I don’t know how to feel about the characters. I didn’t get enough dimension from Nick. No one acknowledged that Mimi isn’t just quirky and that she needs actual mental health help. Jess is okay ? And I honestly don’t know what I’m supposed to feel about Ben - is he supposed to be likable or not? I didn’t really get much of a personality from him, just plot points.
Also - not everyone in a mystery novel has to be so intuitive. Each character can just read the others no problem.

I feel like I’m ripping into this book, but I did round up to three because it was entertaining and I did get through it. I can see why others may eat it up.
Maybe my rating will change in the future. I’m notorious for my thoughts and ratings not matching up.

I am not sure if I could not get into this book because it was an audiobook (narrators) or because of the books structure, or plot.
