Overall, I found it to be a valuable resource for educators looking to improve their teaching practices. The author does an excellent job of blending scientific research with real-life classroom examples to illustrate the importance of emotional intelligence in teaching.

One of the highlights of the book for me was its emphasis on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and how it can positively impact both students and teachers. As someone who has used the SecondStep program before, it was great to see the book touch on similar themes and reinforce the importance of SEL in the classroom.

However, one minor drawback I found was the lack of an answer key for the case study questions at the end of each chapter. While I appreciated the open-ended nature of the questions, it would have been helpful to have the author's take on the correct answers or potential responses to help guide my self-reflection.
