This was a delightful collection. I especially appreciate the authors explaining the original tale they'd adapted or been inspired by. However, as much as I love it with people rate each story--I don't have time to do that right now. Sorry.
Definitely a great book to read. I truly enjoyed most of them. There were at least 3 or 4 that weren't my favorite, but nevertheless I recommend this book to those of you who are interested in myths. It will capture your attention.

This was the first anthology we've tried for family story time, so I wasn't sure how it would go over. I think everyone enjoyed most stories, and there weren't any that at least one person didn't like. This is a collection of retellings of Asian myths and legends. It was extra fun when one of the kids recognized what the story was based off of before the explanation at the end (both kids attend/attended a Chinese immersion school), but most of these stories were new to us. The diversity of where these stories were from and the ways they were adapted was really interesting.

Anthologies are for me are normally hit or miss and this one was definitely a hit. I enjoyed reading and learning about myths that aren’t so well known and liked that they were from a variety of Asian cultures. Of course some stories were stronger than others but the majority were captivating and intriguing even given their short lengths.

This is a fun anthology of tales based on Asian legends, with a description of the legend the story is based off of at the end.
