Finally we get Maddie and Elijah's story! Their relationship has always been professional, neither admitting how they truly felt. Maddie tries to move on like Elijah did, but she her heart has never moved on, and now she need to decide where her future lies. Elijah has known heartache, and now he is determined to never love anyone again. Their story is emotional, gut wrenching and yet beautiful and sweet. Maddie and Elijah should know to never say never. When the Wilder's make her an offer she only dreamed of, Maddie needs to deicide if she will follow her head, or her hear. This has all the feels, anger, sorrow, angst, hope and joy of what is possible. Loved this so much!!

This is the story of Elijah and Maddie who have been fighting feelings for each other for a long time. Elijah has been dealing with the loss of what he thought was the love of his life Joy while Maddie has tried to be there for him and pretend she never had feelings for him.
Their story changes after a weekend away and a sudden rain storm forces them to spend the night together.

Not everyone is lucky when it comes to love. They all in love with their soulmate only to have them taken away again by tragic circumstances.
After Elijah looses his first love, it takes him awhile to accept his new reality, a reality without Joy in it.
It takes awhile but he finally comes back to his family, no longer working on autopilot and grief. The grief will never truly go away but he learns to breathe again and accept that his life is no longer as he had planned.
Maddie stood by Elijah, being the support that he needed while hiding her unrequited love - how could she expect her lover to be returned from someone that has sworn to never love again?
So Maddie starts also looking at what she needs to carry on after loosing a great friend and only being able to do so much for another.
This is the fourth book in the Wilder Brothers series and while it can be read as a standalone you will get a far bigger satisfaction from reading them in order.

Losing your true love is….beyond words. It changes you, you are not the same person you were before. No one’s grief is like another’s. It is painful and for some, never really goes away.

But you can choose to build a new life without that special person, but it is a hard road.

This is Elijah Wilder’s story. He found his special someone, Joy, fell in love and then…she was taken away from him.

How does he begin to feel again? How can he move forward with his life? How can he deal with an attraction to his best friend, Maddie? And what does Maddie desire from Elijah? What does she want professionally and personally?

Both Elijah and Maddie understand that their lives have changed but finding their way isn’t smooth. This is a wonderful, heartfelt story with moments that bring sadness but also happiness…much like life!

This is the latest instalment in the Wilder Brothers’ series, and we saw the tragedy of the loss of Elijah’s girlfriend at the end of book 3 (these books can be read standalone but you get so much more if you read the series in order).

This is a tragic and yet heart lifting story for Elijah and Maddie. When love is lost, you can love again - especially if you have such supportive friends and family… and if you had someone you liked and respected and thought you could more than like, but never explored that (or allowed yourself to consider it) as you thought it would be unwelcome.

Whilst losing the love of your life is devastating, that doesn’t mean that you are unable to love again, or that there is a specific timeframe or ‘waiting period’ for that. For Elijah, it is such a traumatic event, as the night he lost her will forever be imprinted on him, but he deals with his loss through the love of family and those closest to him, especially Maddie who helps him to move forward.

A great read, I highly recommend this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Coming Home for Us was Elijah and Maddie’s story. I loved the evolvement of their relationship and the glimpse that Elijah had feelings for Maddie even before they got together. It was nice that the drama they had to navigate was less stressful than what the Wilder’s were used to but the pain was real and my heart broke for Maddie. Another great story with an even bigger teaser for the next book!

Every time I start a Carrie Ann Ryan book, I can’t put it down and this one was no different.

I’ve been anxious to see where Maddie & Elijah’s story would go and it couldn’t have been any more perfect.

Maddie has always had a thing for Elijah, but he met and fell in love with Joy, and then lost her in a car accident. A few years later as Maddie and Elijah are working closely together, the attraction that was always there before, sparks to life again. What follows is a sweet romance about finding love after loss and all the complications that can come with that. I've been waiting for their story since we first met them and realized there was a bit of unrequited love occurring on Maddie's part for Elijah. Reading about this family is fun, and I enjoy getting to see the previous couples in each subsequent story. I do wish though that all the brother didn't have E names.

“…your heart is big enough to encompass everyone that you come across. You are the light and the peace of the group. You bring happiness and excitement to everything you do…”

Two years prior Elijah lost the love of his life and swore he would never fall in love again. He dedicated his time to working as the operations director for his family’s business, Wilder Retreat and Winery. When faced with the possibility of Maddie leaving, he must evaluate his life and his reluctance to love again.
Maddie watched the man she loved, Elijah, date and fall in love with someone else so she gave up on her dreams of love. She loves her job with the Wilder Vineyards and has developed a friendship with the Wilder family. So, when another job opportunity arises, Maddie faces hard choices. Does she stay or move on in life and hope to find love again?
Coming Home for Us is the fourth book in The Wilder Brothers series and my favorite so far. After seeing Maddie’s heartbreak when Elijah falls for someone else and watching their relationship progress through the series, I was so happy to read their story finally. This highly emotional and beautiful story was the journey of their love, grief, and hope. It was a perfect ending for them.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
