Enjoyable and fluffy, but a little muddled, which might be the inherent problem of the setup. There is too much reliance on the main character knowing much more than she is supposed to, yet the same principle requires her to know just not enough to make sure the plot happens. To compensate for her special knowledge and slow down the discovery of the killer, the character has the memory capacity of a goldfish. In that setup I, as a reader, end up remembering much more of her life and previous events than she herself does, and that's just plain weird.
The book also sports every cozy mystery trope out there and that was both frustrating and ridiculous.

Just started this series last week...can't put them down! So well-written, just like all of Ms. Laurie's books! If you like a good who-dunit, with a side of psychic fun, this is the series for you! Love!!

I was expecting fluff, but this is like corn syrup. Additionally, main character seems to think about herself and her relationships like bad advice in a trashy, regressive women's magazine.
I like her 'Ghost Hunter Mysteries' series better but I did really like this book.. :)
I really wanted to love this book because I have a particular fondness for paranormal lit. However, the characters are only mildly interesting, the plot slow and the dialogue utterly stagnate for the most part. The author took every stereotypical trait associated with psychics and applied them liberally to her main character. Abby's spaciness, her speech patterns and the way she would just rattle off a reading the moment she met someone all annoyed. The phrase "I get the feeling" was repeated so many times if you made a drinking game out of it you'd be drunk by the end of the first chapter.
It's not a bad book but definitely not a great one and definitely not to my tastes. I think fans of light romance and mystery may enjoy this book especially if you can disengage your inner book critic. It's a fluffy read with little substance, which I actually normally like but I have to really connect with the characters in those sorts of books and I didn't connect with a single character in this novel.

The first 3/4 of the book was entertaining, but the end of the book was really rushed and wrapped up quickly. They added a random plot device and quickly took it away in like 20 pages. All in all, it was a good book, but the ending was lack luster.
I expected this book to be a little cheesy, but it was actually quite clever and down to earth for a book about the extra sensory world. The mystery had some good twists and turns. It was enough to help you play along and enough to keep you guessing. I'll definitely look into continuing the series... And pretending I have psychic powers of my own.
