This is great storytelling, but not enough compassion for the victims. Believable characters and great sister relationship.
Abby Cooper is a genuine psychic (not just observant like on the show Psyche), who gets involved in a murder investigation after one of her clients is killed. Abby investigates on her own as well as with Dutch, the police officer actually investigating the case. I did like this book because of the fun factor - it isn't a gruesome police procedural - and the mystery was good. However, some of the story came together a little too easily and the end of the book came really quickly. I loved the tension between Abby and Dutch though. I'm adding the rest of this series to my to read list.
I thought it was going to be more plot related, explaining about her psychic habilities but no, it was just talk and talk and a plain main character
This was such a cute story!
It is a quick read and requires little to no brain power. There are some laughable moments but mostly it is just an enjoyable, light read.
To quote the book's write up: "Abby Cooper is a P.I., psychic intuitive. But her insight failed her when she didn't foresee the death of one of her clients-or that the lead investigator for the case is the gorgeous blind date she just met. Now, with the police suspicious of her abilities and a killer on the loose, Abby's future looks more uncertain than ever."

Fun book, nothing serious or important but quick and funny. Likable characters and a plot line that moved quickly.
