This is a very good start to a series. I enjoyed the holiday vibe in this book, it was very on-point.

The only thing I didn't like in this book is how there were little instances to show that the H and h were perfect for each other (or at least that they were falling in love). I'm a visual person in a way wherein I need to see (or read) proof that two characters are indeed falling in love, I pay close attention to the journey. I was hoping I'd get a lot of cute scenes of their adventure in Germany.

Sadly, in this novella, it was "fed" to the readers that there's a lot of sexual tension and so the H and h should be together. I'm also not a big fan of hate-to-lovers, so that might be another factor why I didn't enjoy this as much as others did.

Lastly, reading in first-person POV without dual narration is not my preference in romance. I love reading dual perspective/narration in my romance books, so I can get an idea on the thoughts and emotions of both characters.

Nonetheless this was a very short story, so it was a quick read. It's a good holiday novella, so if you're looking for a fast read that will give you Christmas feels, pick this book up.

I can't wait to read the other books in the series!

This book is incredibly short.

It started off so well and there was so much potential for an amazing story. And the it all hapenned at once and it ended.

From the first kiss to the end, the whole book just felt rushed and incomplete.

However it is mainly smut with plot so it fills it's purpose.

A grumpy boss, a girl who hates to love him, and a lot of Christmas.

Meet Holly Winter, yes, really. She is working at the most fantastical place that I also want to work at, Reindeer Toy Company. Bears! Cuteness! Toys! Planning Bear Cafes and more. However she isn’t too happy with her boss, Nick. Though on the other hand she does seem very happy with him, teehee, given the fantasies. We see how she struggles with working with him. We see that she isn’t happy despite having the best job.

The sexy times in Germany, OH MY GOODNESS. Those were STEAMY and HOT. I was happy that Holly was able to put off her mind and that she just enjoyed it. Enjoyed the kisses and the sex. I had such a laugh at how she called her vagina the Inn and even gave Nick ratings. XD And that Dickmas Advent Calendar her sisters made came to good use. Teehee.

But whereas I did like the romance, the sexy times, I just wanted to shake Holly a lot of times. Because she was just mean and hurtful towards her boss who, from my POV, was a bit grumpy yes, but for most he was hardworking and just doing his job. I just couldn’t see why she was constantly calling him Grinch and other things. And then her reaction after what happened in Germany, LORD, she was horrendous I just fell for the guy. He gets the feeling she is going to sue him.

grumpy/sunshine + a lot of Christmas stuff, that's all you need to know about this book.

I want to start this saying that this isn't a full length book, and it's actually more of a short novella, so it really can be read it in one sitting.
this book was really funny, the main characters were adorable, and even if we don't have a lot of time to know them, the way Jana Austen writes them makes you like them immediately. I felt like I was watching one of those cheesy Christmas movies it was really cute.
I think this is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read the rest of the series and her other books.

i’m such a sucker for “she hates him but he’s been in love with her since day one” tropes

Well this was a fun Christmas quickie (pun intended 🤭) So why did I knock down a couple of stars? The inner monologue was excessive. I wish there was more interaction/dialogue between Holly Winter and Nick Saint Croix (gotta love the names!) and less inner monologue since we only get Holly’s pov. Also Nick is supposedly a Grinch, a Scrooge, has a coal in place of a heart kind of guy, but you can tell he's totally into her.

But for under 100 pages it was a holly jolly fun of a ride. It definitely screams Christmas spirit and Holly's sisters are hilarious.

18+ 🌶🌶 open door, mild

This book was a great short holiday read with some steamy bits! It’s the perfect romantic Christmas story to help you get into the holiday spirit! Plus who wouldn’t want to read about a work getaway with a sexy boss?!

Very puny with all the Christmas stuff but I love all that corny stuff so it was right up my alley!
