Fast and funny

This was a quick and funny read. I understand it’s a short story so it is a little rushed. I can believe everything about this story except that she’s already in love with him. I think I would’ve liked it more if it ended with them just simply becoming a couple and leaving it there, because the love after one business trip together was a little far fetched to me. But it was still a good read

I saw Wrong either right before it came out or not long after it released and I immediately wanted to read it and then once enough time had passed, I just wanted to read Jana Aston in general. Why didn’t I, since I’ve had almost ten years to pick up one of her books and I haven’t done so yet? I don’t know, okay, I’m a weirdo, it’s not an uncommon thing for me to put off reading books or authors that I really want to. Anyway, I was looking for my next read when Amazon recommended a bunch of books in their Two-Hour Reads because Amazon knows I have a deadline to meet… my deadline being my Goodreads Reading Challenge and what with it being November, two hour reads would definitely come in handy right about now, you know what I mean?

So I was browsing and I actually saw the third book in this series first and I was interested because it was short, it was Jana Aston, and it was a Christmas romance which I’m in the mood for, so I decided to see what the first book was and when I saw that it was called The Boss Who Stole Christmas, I was pretty sold. I thought I would read the preview so I could determine if I was down to read it right away or save it for a little later, but I knew pretty much immediately that I wanted to continue on with it.

The Boss Who Stole Christmas was so fun and funny, I just had a wonderful time reading it! And even though it’s pretty short, it felt like it had so much story packed into it. There was such a clear picture of Holly, Nick, her sisters, and of course, Reindeer Falls, even though we don’t actually get to see much of it. The way Holly and to a lesser extent Nick thought and felt about Reindeer Falls just made me love their little town and I can’t wait to go back to it! This was such a fantastic read and I’m so excited to read the rest of this series!

I really was expecting so much from this Christmas novella. I mean, did you read that synopsis? I just knew that I was going to get those enemies to lovers vibes along with all things Christmas. While I got all things Christmas, that was about it.

I didn’t really like Holly very much. She made a lot of assumptions about Nick and they were all about nothing serious at all. If this man did something small such as call his mom to tell her he loved her, I feel like she would make that into something terrible about him.

While it sounded like it would have been enemies to lovers, it really wasn’t. Nick never came off as rude or condescending. Just professional and to the point. The enemies standpoint was really on Holly’s side only. The sex scenes were good but the chemistry really wasn’t I thought it would be.

You are probably wondering what did I like. Well, everything else! I loved the town and the atmosphere of it. I loved that all of her sisters had Christmas themed names and their last name was Winter. Seriously, I could get lost in this fictional town alone.

All in all, I was disappointed by this, but I am willing to read the next book about Ginger. She seemed to have some common sense and I want to know what happens between her and a certain hot British baker.

This was a buddy read with Destiny over at Howling Libraries!

Jana Aston tends to write books that are quite funny, and The Boss Who Stole Christmas is no exception! It's a quick, fun, Christmas read, set in fictional Reindeer Falls, Michigan. Holly Winter has no love for her boss, Nick. But sparks fly when they have to travel together for work.

I love the humor of this. The characters were fun, and overall, this was just a very cute, funny, and Christmas spirited book!

Mini Review! 3.5/5

A very fun and quick Christmas read if you’re looking for one. An office romance set during the holidays in a very quaint town that loves Christmas A LOT. if you love the holiday season, Aston has described the perfect setting. The writing has a lot of witty moments that I enjoyed. It’s perfectly fine, not incredibly unique, but definitely a comfort read. I might read the next ones since I have Kindle Unlimited and I love Christmas sooooo. The smut was fine.

Cute
Short
Easy to read
Just what I’d expect from a Christmas movie or book though the series could’ve been better as just one big book.

This is an excellent little novella with it's 100 pages! It's very funny and a bit steamy actually... didn't expect that! I was entertained all the way through and I'm looking forward to read the rest of the series.
