*Rating is for all three books in the triology. Much thanks to NetGalley and Kelly Moran for a copy of these books in exchange for an honest review*
What the hell... I did NOT expect to love this series so much. Apparently I'm into ghost hunting romances and I don't even watch ghost hunting shows in the first place.
Although labeled a trilogy, the three books don't follow a single plot line. Rather, each story centers on a member of the Phantoms, a crew of ghost hunters. And each brought a different trope/romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Ghost of a Promise is an instalove/fated romance about two people who have both struggled to find a place in the world to call home. Of all the stories, this mystery is the one that had me most intrigued.
Give Up the Ghost is a friends-to-lovers romance that contains truly lovable characters. This is, by far, my least favorite trope in the romance genre so I ALMOST skipped past it. But, I'm glad I didn't. Kerry and Paul were such great characters and the climax of this book... whew!
Lastly, Ghost of You is an enemies-to-lovers romance. In addition to being my favorite trope, Sammt was the most relatable character to me. I'm always fond of cranky, tough exterior main leads (I'm one of the rare people who actually loved Nesta in the ACOTAR series, for reference), so I was so happy to finally get Sammy's story by the end.
All in all, Kelly Moran is now an author I will keep an eye out for. Her books have such a good balance of romance to mystery to paranormal. I'm sold.

The third installment... what can I say!? There were times this book scared all 20 types of shit out of me and it was awesome!!!!!!! (Did I mention the gang's all back?! I missed Paul!!!!) The paranormal aspect of this story was stepped up a bit more than the previous books in the series. There were demons, ghosts, fires, love, mutual respect, and love.
Okay, so it's blatantly obvious that Sammy hates Cain and he has no idea why... except he's a psychologist. If she wants to be a producer, she'll have to learn to play nice with him. Should be easy, except their next case takes her back to a place she worked so hard to get away from... her hometown in Nebraska. It brings back all of her most painful memories and the best person to help her through this... the guy she hates the most, Cain.
Cain and Sammy have more in common than either knew or realized. With so much trauma in their lives, one would have thought they would just gravitate towards each other, but it only put them at each other's throats...and only adding to their chemistry! You get to learn so much about these two characters that you can't help but root for them! And their snappy one liners to each other doesn't hurt either!
Both Sammy and Cain are wonderfully developed characters that it was completely believable to have Sammy despising Cain from day one to having them get to know each other.

Not overly impressed by this author's ability to write conflict. This series is fine just not very impressive.
