I feel bad rating any book under 3 stars. I do. But if I'm generous with my stars, what's the point of me rating it at all, if this doesn't reflect how I felt about the book?

I had quite a few problems with the book, obviously. First of all, why is there even a ballerina on the cover? Her job as a dance instructor is BARELY mentioned. We read plenty about the other two main characters' jobs. The cover is what drew me in, and I was left quite disappointed. Secondly, the story was waaaaay tooooooo sloooooow. My gosh, it took us to around 40% to get past what we already learned in the synopsis. Why was it so detailed if it was going to reflect nearly half the book? Toss in some unnecessary but obvious drama bombs, and then we're to the end. I won't be continuing the series.

Third person storytelling did not help matters.
