Nada puede fallar en este libro, me pareció un gran gran acierto.
Desde el comienzo, sabemos cómo se resuelve, pero acompañar a la/el protagonista durante todo el recorrido fue agradable y ameno.
Un libro para recomendar!

any story that spans multiple generations is an immediate love but this one especially was amazing. this is a NOVEL! with beautiful writing, storytelling, and research. i loved the settings (detroit‼️) and everyone’s different stories. i loved desdemona and callie the most. eugenides is a talented writer and i felt so immersed in each story.

there were some truly heart wrenching moments in this book. i filled with dread in certain scenes and this also kept me interested in the plot. i think the section of the book all about The Object was the most tender and anxiety ridden moments for me. the ending was sweet and wrapped up nicely.

as someone in genetics, i appreciated how educated eugenides came across—he did his research! some things have aged but overall the discussions and reflections on sex/gender hold up well.
