Wow. Another amazing story from Kristin Hannah. She has a way of telling stories that leave you completely enthralled and captivated the entire time. I felt like I knew Lenny and her family by the end of the story. I would recommend to anyone interested in any of Kirstin’s novels. She is a very talented writer. I felt like I was in Alaska - experiencing the story with the characters.

This is a new Kristin Hannah favorite for me. The author tells a story about how how bad people can be good, how good people can be bad, how our choices have ripple effects on our lives, and how love can abide through it all. This story both wrecked me and also made me want to book a trip to Alaska.

This story was heartbreaking, beautiful, frustrating, joyful, and everything in between! It made me want to visit Alaska so badly to experience it for myself! But also made me grateful for indoor plumbing and electricity lol

I absolutely enjoyed this book! It was mainly in Leni's perspective, a 13 yr old girl pulled to Alaska when her father came back from being a POW in the Vietnam War, and he came back a very different person! Leni and her mother walk on eggshells to try to keep him happy!
