What the hell was in this book?! It was so good. Feyre redeemed herself in my eyes, for sure.
Rhys is so much better than I imagined he would be. The snarkkkkkk, omg.

These two are also just 🥵 every bit of tension in this book was so dang good. I don’t know how any other book in the series could be this good.

I don’t know if Feyre’s sisters and father can ever have enough redeeming qualities to change my mind about them. Tamlin sucks and has the personality of a wet paper towel. This one really drove that point home for me.

Some of my favorite things:
• Be rude to her and I will literally break your arm into pieces is a new vibe and I dig it.
• “I am very glad I met you, Feyre” 🥲
• I thought “touch her and die” vibes were good… but “touch him and die” might be even better.

I see it. I see the hype. I’m pumped for what’s to come next.

Tropes:
Found Family
Enemies to Lovers
Fated Mates

Spice: 2.5 🌶️

I loved this book! Rhysand collects Feyre to show her his lands and to meet his people.  He takes her on a quest to find the books that hold the answer to defeating the King of Hybern. Tamlin goes crazy trying to get her back. Feyre is torn between Rhysand and Tamlin.

I wrote a longer review, but I decided to just keep it at:

Sarah J Maas seems to have named a minor male character Eris, like the greek goddess of discord. Very middle-schooler-one-babyname.com vibes.

Ultimately enjoyable, better written than the first, but still running on romance novel logic™.

This was just wonderful. Rhysand was my favourite character from the first book and I just couldn’t love him more after this book. And Azriel — oh Azriel has my whole heart. It was a wild ride I’m so happy I took!

I maintain I just cannot understand why this woman is obsessed with the phrase "gobbling down" as in, eagerly taking in the details of something. It makes me think the whole cast are, like, turkeys or something. Wild.
