Jess is a paparazzo, working her way through med school. William is a student from across the pond, trying to find a job before his student visa expires and he gets deported. He tries his hand at being a paparazzo and that's how he met Jess. This short story about how they met sets the scene for the next book, Stars In Their Eyes.

I love the writing style of this author's other books but this story was too busy with the paparazzo and movie star angle. The romance of Jess and William gets lost in the details. I'm hoping the next book spotlights more of their actual relationship and less on Hollywood. I still think Lauren Blakely is an amazing author and I will continue to read her books.

This book is sweet and fun and completely sexy---in short, just what I was in the mood for.

It's no secret that I love celebrity gossip and so this story was perfect for me. There are all these little winks and nods to real life celebrities and movies, and it was fun catching them.

But even better, of course, is the immediate chemistry between Jess and William (who is, of course, British---because why not?). Obviously they're going to get together but how? And when?

It's another perfect book from Lauren Blakely and I expect no less.
Highly recommended.

The writing seemed weaker in this one than in Blakely's other works, even previous short novellas. I didn't find either character particularly interesting, either, though this may be due to the length.
