...and weirder still. This one hurts a lot, too, as alliances shift and friends hurt each other as only teenagers can do.

Mie begins to suspect that one of her friends - you're calling them friends? Friends?? If most of these kids are friends, then friendship is doomed.

Yup, this turned dark, alright, but where are we going with this? Oh it's an episodic story of change!
I couldn't care less, there's no depth and the characters are tropes.

Issue four seemed useless to plot.

This is basically Stand By Me spliced with superheroes. The water colour artwork is pretty gorgeous, but the story was a little underwhelming. I do need to reread it at some point though because I read it as singles so may have missed something (possibly even an actual issue.) Whether it was that, or my high expectations from both Jeff Lemire and Emi Lenox's other work that left this feeling a bit bland I'm not sure, but I will give it another go at some point.

This is the weirdest comic I've read in a while, but in a good way. It's amazing what fear and panic will drive a person to do. I'm curious to see if there will be anymore issues in this series. I really need to know what happened after that ending. I need some time to sit and think about this one. It was really that crazy to me. If you haven't picked it up, I would recommend giving it a try.

Really dark with a twist I didn't see coming.

Like most people I really enjoyed this and then it just up and ended like that.

Stories about how superheroes impact the rest of society are 100% in my wheelhouse so I was digging those elements. I liked the simplicity. I think this could be a really great film or play.
