So as the wrap up to a series that most (if not all) readers are here for the romance...it's not bad. I definitely got the sense that the author couldn't figure out how to push the plot of the previous book along, so she (quite literally) exploded said plot and killed off all the antagonists to exchange them for a new, better one.
I definitely saw her old teacher as the one behind the "Bad Resistance" (as Violet puts it). That just made sense, based on how she thought of him in the previous books. It's also the only way to explain why she's being targeted so much... And while Violet and Uriel's interactions were pretty textbook protagonist/antagonist, there wasn't anything out of place in them. It was meh.
Again though, I was at the party for the romance, so let's just skip to that.

Rafe and Jordan are such perfect complements to each other. Once Rafe is willing to admit he's got feelings besides anger, that is. And even Jordan (who starts out completely perfect) got some character development.
So, 3 stars. Because let's be honest, not the best written book, I have very high standards on writing style. But it's got a good basic plot and I liked the characters. And it scratched that romance itch I've been having.

Okayyyyyy so this book where do i begin to unpack this. The first book I ate it up loved it and as the series progressed I liked the direction it was going but i also feel like bleh towards this book like I had fun but I wasn’t motivated to keep listening to it but the audiobook was great espically it being duet narrated.

Couldn't put it down!
This series had unexpectedly captured my attention. I was almost borderline obsessed about reading it. But of course anything by Tate James and Jaymin Eve is bound to get your attention and hold you captive. I love that all of the main characters were badass and they all complimented each other. I loved the enemies to lovers trope, as well as the fact that the FMC's lovers would do anything to protect her. It was a perfect mixture of angst, romance, and danger. I can't wait to read more from these incredible ladies.
