I'm kind of disappointed. I enjoyed the story overall but like many others I felt like the ending was a little predictable and flat.
I get that Violet explains at the end that marriage and babies isn't the end-all be-all for everyone and all you need is love... but knowing the duties and expectations that both Rafe and Jordan would have in that world I can't see how it will be a happy ending for all involved. If they were going to keep up with this relationship between the 3 of them I would have liked to see Jordan make peace with Zach and abdicate the throne to him, moving to Switzerland to live with Violet and Rafe... or SOMETHING to make me think this will last for them... or even a "10 years later" additional epilogue where the 3 of them do in fact adopt a child together.
I REALLY wish this story would have been multiple POV. I was dying to know what Rafe's mom was saying to him when Violet wasn't around. Overall it was a good story but definitely not a favorite.

I liked the badassness of the characters and the whole secret rebellion thing but the kidnap thing and everything it was just..... I didn't like it, it was too far away from where I thought the series was going and from the characters, in the beginning, I just... no thank you

Actually, I really enjoyed the series. Always hated love triangles and I’ve always said “she should either choose one already or get in a polyamorous relationship.” And boy, this book didn’t disappoint in the polyamorous department. Was it a life changing read? No, but the series kept me entertained for a weekend and I have little to complain about.

Well, I will be honest, the ending of this book and this whole series was disappointing for me. I didn't like it at all. So disappointing. And because of that, I gave this book only 3 stars. It was going so good, I like the action, the secrets that were coming out, the whole plot was engaging but the ending ...

Love the deeper dystopian vibes. Violet is just amazing. This series has had such a great cast of characters. I alm ist wish there were going to be a book 4 in this series. I really want to see how the relationships effect things in the future. Interesting dynamics.
