fast-paced

This is my second series by these authors.
I didn't like this one at all.
We have 3 books but it's like they don't belong in the same series.
In book 1, Violet has a boyfriend, she seems to like him even if she still thinks A LOT about the asshole who bullies her.
In book 2, the boyfriend turns abusive, she still is interested in the asshole and begins a relationship with him and another boy (the BFF of the asshole)
In book 3, the abusive first boyfriend completely disappears from the story except for 2 scenes. Violet is still in a relationship with the 2 other guys. Guys who don't like to share so their MFM is weird af. They sleep in the same bed but as soon as one of them gets horny, the other one leaves the room until the couple is finished. Seems healthy.

I don't know how these authors work together, if they write characters or parts of the books, but this series was choppy. Nothing made sense.

My eyes got stuck in the back of my head when the sensei bullshit began. Why?! Why put this ridiculous sub-plot in this. Why not focus on the resistance, on the monarchs and on the princess ballot. This Kill Bill "inspiration" plot was unnecessary and frankly, really badly done.

So many inconsistencies and plot holes. The characters just changed from one book to another.

Also not gonna lie, but Jordan was not necessary to the story. Violet had more chemistry with Nolan and he made more sense.

The end is bad too. Both male characters are the crown heirs of their country (New America and the Switzerlands so an ocean separates them), Violet ends up with no real home as she spends her time travelling the world and so, she sees her men once a month. Like how can this work on the long time? Both males will end kings of their country and their shared queen will have to jump from one kingdom to another all the time?!

I am so disappointed.
adventurous tense

The climax to the drama wasn't as big as I would have liked, but I won't complain. And the love story wasn't perfect, but that's kind of what made it perfect. Two thumbs way up for this series ender.
adventurous dark hopeful medium-paced

Sparknotes: Violet and Jordan, in attempts to rescue Rafe, end up being captured and tortured by the society for a month and it’s revealed the Violets old sensei, Uriel, is the big bad scary man behind it all.

He lets her know that her entire upbringing has been constructed by the society to shape her into being their new leader. Her tragic upbringing allowing the masses to relate to her and root for her as an underdog.

After a month, the group are able to escape and make their way back to the Swiss nation where they recover before heading back to Arbon Academy.

Both guys are being fucking weird towards Violet though and she begins to question how they feel, if her baggage is too much for them and if they blame her for what they have just gone through etc etc

Eventually though they all come to their senses and confess that they are in love.

Good society comes to the forefront and a plan is made to arrange a peoples council giving the general population more power and limiting some of the monarchy’s power. It’s a big global vote which is passed.

Before this vote, Violet fights uriel and kills him though in order to deliver the killing blow she has to get stabbed. When she wakes up in hospital the doctor tells her she won’t be able to have kids

Cut to the epilogue - the princes stayed in school w Violet for another two years before life got in the way and Jordan had to step up as a leader in new America and Rafe got busy doing prince shit also lol idk. But Violet now works with Mattie as a global liaison for the peoples courts and is based between new America and the Swiss regions, though she only sees her princes at limited times.

They end up surprising her and flying out for her birthday and let the world know about their unusual relationship before jetting off to an island that Rafe states he purchased for them to have privacy and see each other whenever they want.

Previously stated that the trio are all fine w the relationship but the guys aren’t keen on doubling up in the bedroom so if something starts in bed with one of them, the other will leave which seems wild but okay. Anyways that’s about it, deffs not my pick of the bunch but a fine wrap up <\spoiler>

That was an epic conclusion to this series. There is so much closure die Violet in this book and she definitely deserves it.

This book is action packed and I loved every minute of it. I have seen a number of reviews that did not like the ending. I honestly loved it! It may not be as “traditional” of a romance book ending, and that is what made it even better.

I loved this series and it is definitely one to read if you want a darker collage romance without the bully aspect that most have.

3,5 stars.

Actually, I really enjoyed the series. Always hated love triangles and I’ve always said “she should either choose one already or get in a polyamorous relationship.” And boy, this book didn’t disappoint in the polyamorous department. Was it a life changing read? No, but the series kept me entertained for a weekend and I have little to complain about.

The perfect conclusion to this series! Full of twists and turns and omg moments!

Violet and Rafe and Jordan are the perfect throuple and I love their relationship so much! They overcome so much in this book and I loved that they done it together

Such a good ending to this story. Loved how the love interests all developed together.

What an interesting twist! Tate and Jaymin have again left me speechless which a great unique story! I felt like the end was great, but I would love to see more into the future of this world. But a great ending for Vi.

My heart swooned SOOOO much in this book! I love (and am jealous) of the relationship Violet has with Jordy and rafe. It was so realistic for me and i appreciated it so much. You saw why they work so well as a unit and ugh be still my heart. It was amazing to see Violet really come into her own and grow up to be as powerful as she was bred for.
