DID NOT FINISH: 7%

DNF at 7% - the first chapter or two got my interest but it went downhill fast.

I didn’t like his choppy writing style with odd descriptions (“eyes sit inside deep sockets where a melon ball. scooper might’ve gone to work’). What?!

Author also introduces so many characters without helping readers understand who they are or how they relate to the story.

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

Either the authors writing style or the way they wrote just this book is not for me. It felt very disjointed and I felt more time confused than not. Sort of written like a school essay that the requirement was a certain amount of sentences

mysterious tense

I found it difficult to get used to the writing style. The ending felt a little strange to me.
For me, part of the appeal of reading about killers is to understand motivations that could lead to that, so finding out everything he said was a lie felt unsatisfying.
