I had a really dofficuy time reading this book emotionally, because I myself grew up in situations that are detailed in here. I almost out it down and didn't finish it, but I wanted to allow myself to work through my discomfort and triggers and finish, and I am glad I did.
I think that absolutely anyone who wants to know more about CPS and about abuses and why and HOW the foster system is broken and such - I highly recommend reading this book, because it's spot on.
Even if you don't want to know - maybe read it anyway. Because the more people who are aware of how the system sucks - The more people will demand change.

This one was good....but lacked that bit extra that the first two books had, that bit extra that had me enthralled and enjoying the whirlwind. This one seemed slower and tamer then the first two and, honestly, a little boring.
Dot Hutchison nu se satură să construiască poduri peste timp, peste răni, peste oameni. Îi acord din nou o bilă albă pentru cum a reușit să țină toate aceste cazuri legate unele de altele. Am simțit că fluturii și polițiștii alcătuiesc o familie. O familie anormală, e drept. Dar tot o familie. Alcătuită din groază, atacuri, nesiguranțe, frici, compromisuri, dragoste și salvare. Dar tot o familie. Și m-am bucurat să le văd din nou aici pe fete, martore mute ale hidoșeniei lumii, dar cumva reparate de firescul ce încearcă să își găsească loc printre crăpăturile nenorocirilor întâmpinate.
