Me: this series is improbable at best
Also me: let me go ahead and check out the next one.
This series is super impulsively readable if you're into thrillers about serial killers and the fbi.

I LOVED this book , it was one of my favorites from this series.
This book is from the perspective of another FBI agent from within the same unit as the previous ones.
Each case in this series is directly tired to an agent with a troublesome past or traumatic childhood.
It is graphic and a hard read for some.
Trigger warning for readers , there will be :
Drug abuse
Child neglect/child abuse
Domestic violence
SA
Murdaaa & more
So be forewarned!

This time, the focus is on Agent Ramirez, who has become the centre of a new case: a killing angel.
Someone is butchering abusive parents and sending the children to Agent Ramirez's care, terrified, traumatized and with a teddy bear, which is the usual gift the team provides to young victims and witnesses.
I loved Mercedes Ramirez's POV, she's such a good character! And in this story, we get to know her and we finally understand why saving children is her personal goal.
Another bonus of having her tell the story is getting her perspective on Edison. I like him a lot better when I see him through her eyes. And I already liked him a lot *laughs*
We have a new addition to the team, Agent Sterling, which is fun and seems like an interesting choice for the team. We'll see how it works out.
What I found very interesting is the killer's motivations and backstory. It makes the story realistic and very sad. These things happen more often than not.
Let's see what comes next!
