This is the most horrific book in The Collector series for its violence against children. My energy would be better spent listing trigger warnings that weren’t in the book. I literally jumped and cringed every time my husband or kids touched me when I was reading this book I was so disturbed. When I was about 70% finished with the book I was sure I was going to give it 2 stars. But I didn’t...

The immense pros were:

- updates on the butterflies & Priya
- getting to really know the detectives because their personal narratives were quite beautiful and was, in the end, the most redeeming part of this book.

I gave this book 4 stars but this is among the few books I’ve rated well that I will never reread again. My mind and my spirit could not handle it.

Este tercer libro relacionado con el jardín de las mariposas me impresiono, lo empecé sin ninguna expectativa porque el anterior no me gusto pero este es impresionante.

Tenemos aquí a Mercedes Ramírez una agente del FBI, la cual una noche encuentra a un niño completamente lleno de sangre en la puerta de su casa. En este caso tan grande podemos sentir como es el abuso a menores y la verdad es que es muy duro leer todo lo que pueden pasar los niños.

Creo la historia esta muy bien estructurada, tenemos pistas desde el inicio de lo que motivo a Ramírez a convertirse en agente y al mismo tiempo retazos de pensamientos del culpable. Es un libro donde no se enfoca 100% en el misterio, sino también tenemos momentos entre los agentes lo cual hace que la historia no sea tan violenta.
