Because You’re Mine features one of my favorite tropes: sibling’s best friend. Ellie is new to NYC and her brother Henry’s best friend has taken it upon himself to show her the city. Ian Gallagher is a self-proclaimed bachelor but there’s just something about Ellie that draws him in. I loved watching this relationship develop and I appreciated the low level of angst. If you’re a contemporary romance fan, I recommend this series.
Layla Hagen always gives me the sweet and sexy feels with her charming contemporary stories. Never too angsty, simply fun, tender, and hot. Her stories just feel so real...real life scenarios, ordinary situations, and generally so relatable.
Because You’re Mine was a fantastic addition to a series I have come to love. Layla Hagen’s writing is strong, with characters that are easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story that she wove from the first to the last chapter. I loved how the relationship between Ian and Ellie developed, especially since there was a touch of a forbidden element. Watching them fall together, learning to trust one another and give into their feelings was such a fun, sexy, satisfying, feel-good journey.
I love how Layla Hagen takes tried and true romantic tropes and makes them simple, straightforward, and swoony- she makes love feel easy and magical, she lets it be charming and natural. You know you’ll smile, swoon a bit, get some heat, and I always know that I will get a charming HEA that makes my reader heart happy.

Oh, swoon… this book was so sweet.
Ian knows that his friend’s sister Ellie is 100% off limits. He is a sworn bachelor and has no plans to change that, but he has always had a thing for Ellie.
Ellie has always had a major crush on Ian, too. But the two knew that flirting or pursuing any kind of relationship was not in the cards… until it is.
This bottled attraction they have gone one another has to go somewhere, and when it finally explodes, the two can’t seem to get enough of one another. Ellie has a little secret she is keeping. A personal one and she is a little worried how Ian will react…
Sharing their steamy nights together begins to get Ian thinking that he may just have to change his bachelor plan to keep Ellie in his life.
I really enjoyed this romance. Ian and Ellie were adorable. I loved their chemistry and they story.

More swoony charm from Layla Hagen and the delightful Gallagher series- shaping up to be my favorite series from this feel-good writer. Romantic, sweet- all the butterflies.
Oh Ian. Once a playboy and consummate bachelor, he’s immediately smitten with his best friends’ sister, Ellie- new to the big city to pursue her dream job. Even though he’s supposed to keep an eye on her for his buddy- even though she’s off limits. But their connection and chemistry can’t be ignored.
These two are just adorable. Layla always writes such sweet and charming character chemistry, and these two are one of my favs yet. Ian is just dreamy- big heart, protective, a kind soul. He’s also been stoic, focused and hardworking, but Ellie knocks him over. I just love how he romanced her- SWOON. And Ellie is so relatable- focused, sincere, and open. Watching them fall for each other was captivating.
I always leave a Layla story with a full heart- can’t wait for more, even if it might be the last of these two amazing families. Feel good, contemporary romance at its finest!

Ian Gallagher is party of the Gallagher family and to see him topple and fall into love was something great, plus who doesnt love a forbidden romance, Ian had one rule to follow to stay away from his best friends sister, well well we all know what they say , when we cant have something we want it even more, that was the case here. I loved Ian he was one of my fav brothers. his relationship with ellie was cute and well a little forbidden at times. Loved there initial spark they held together. Ian was so drool worthy , Ellie is in new york and Ian is supposed to watch over her and well he does kinda wink wink. All in all loved this story super cute.
I have so enjoyed getting to know the Winchesters and Gallaghers in these two interconnected series. Getting to know all of them and reading about getting their HEAs has been a sweet and satisfying experience. The story of Ian and Ellie is no exception. The self-proclaimed single forever Ian meets his match in his best friend's little sister. Without a doubt one of my favorites in the series. Layla worked her magic at the end by tying up all the stories, and we get a glimpse of all with Winchesters and Gallaghers living their HEAs in the future. Sweet love with steam at its best.
Aren’t these authors embarrassed yet to write stories around the tropes and writing very cliched and cringed dialogues. The MCs just met and haven’t even had seggs except making out twice hero already started calling her mine on page 135 out of 510💀
Also who texts like that?
“Ian: Am I boring you? 😊”
Why he’s smiling like that? What’s even there to smile?
Also I’m so tired of this boring ass dialogue
I sucked in a breath, and my belly, as energy zipped through me from the point of contact. How was this even possible? We were both wearing jeans. I hoped he didn’t notice my reaction”
The couples were so boringly boring. I gagged. Skimmed through to finish and it still was shit
