Poetry is subjective. So, if people are talking about it or conflicted about it, then it's a success in my eyes. Personally, I really enjoyed the content of this book. I liked the poem titles and the art. Because we know Megan Fox, or we conceive that we "know" her through the spotlight, there is an edge to her words. She knows we're going to google the height of who she's dating, we're going to look at a timeline of past relationships and make conclusions. She's challenging you to, she's daring it, and she's saying she doesn't care.
I appreciated her vulnerability and she didn't F around at any point. I'd really like to own a copy instead of just borrowing it from the library; I heard the voice of many of my friends and loved ones in her words.

I listened to the audiobook for this one and I wish I would have bought the actual book and read it. I did enjoy it but I felt disconnected from the poems because I’m used to rereading them before turning the next page. Some poems were a little strange and couldn’t catch the meaning behind them but then others were ridiculously good and tore me up. All in all, I think it was pretty good, raw and authentic!

Look, my knowledge of poetry is pretty minimal. Am I going to say these are the best poems ever? No. I wouldn’t be able to properly judge. But I can say they were heartbreaking, darkly humorous, entertaining, and relatable for many women. These made me FEEL so much, and isn’t that what a poem is supposed to do?
Reading what Megan Fox has experienced in such an artistic and beautiful way was even more tragic than a memoir could ever be. These were disturbingly raw and I was entranced by each poem. She managed to tell a story with each poem whether it was 1 sentence or spanned across two pages. Combined with the gorgeous artwork from the artist Audrey Kawasaki, this oozed everything we expect Megan Fox to be. It was sensual, deeply moving, and hypnotizing. Also, the poem titles alone were fantastic.

2/5 - Ooof - this book had some edgy potential, but it was dark, dull, and there was so much more room for potential. However, this poor girl. It also said she uses her wicked humor...not sure what was funny because I didn't laugh?
