Great imagery but the story itself was...lacking.

I'm really only going to be talking about the first story cause the second one is nothing of note

Its very differnt but still distinctly king. A story about a guy becoming weightless rapidly while still on earth is a story I would have expected from wayside school but King brings his fantastic writing to this idea. I thought this was quality and fantastic. It didnt overstay its welcome at all and it didnt waste a moment of my time. I do only give it a 4 star because it is bundled with another story that was a big nothing burger

Started a bit slow, but the middle and end were beautiful. My first of Stephen King’s books and excited to check out some more.

Always a fan of Stephen King. No matter if it's a short story like this or a monster novel like some of his others, his style is always a favorite of mine. It's crazy how much information and character building he can fit in such a quick read. Enough so that I got a little misty eyed at the end of a 3 hr read. Only a true master can accomplish something like that.

I went into this book only seeing really bad reviews for it. However, it may be one of my favorite SK books I've read. He does so many books that are really long and it is nice to see a few little ones. The last short book of his I read, i felt as if it was missing half the story but, I didn't feel that for this one. I think this is an interesting take on the subject of ones own mortality. I think it also shows that people can learn to love others in a short amount of time. Many people measure love by the amount of time they know the other person and I think people can love each other quickly if they have their hearts open to the people around them.
