I struggled with this book, mainly because I find Burroughs so unlikable. His focus on looks and physical attractiveness was particularly off-putting.

I finished this book in two days. I absolutely couldn't put it down. Burroughs has a biting wit and an incredible sense of imagery. I loved the first person narrative of rehab and the complicated feelings that are felt by someone with so much trauma. Great read.

A better addiction memoir than the one that got all the press. I may even like it better than Running With Scissors. It's got humor and a lot of heart

Augusten Burrows puts a funny and interesting spin on getting sober. There are parts of the story that are not so upbeat, but it's still a good story.
