This collection was my first real encounter with Wordsworth, and it couldn't have been more perfect. His pride for the English countryside, his insistence on putting everyone, quite equally, at the center of his stories--"Great Men", folk from rural England, himself--what a perfect poet to read at the changing of the seasons. Someday I will read "The Prelude"...

In all honesty there is nothing more delightful than romantic poetry.
This work of selected poetry let's you dive into an old era of love and life all pleasing to read by yourself or with others.

I just wasn’t feeling like poetry atm. Will get back to him another time :)

“I wondered lonely as a cloud that floats on high o’er vales and hills, when all at once I saw a crowd a host of dancing daffodils.”

I read this back in 2006 whilst trying to become a more cultured individual.

I only know one person who reads poetry for fun. I can’t say that I will start. Poetry isn’t for everyone. I’m sure that person who appreciates poetry more than I, will appreciate this book a lot more.

i'm torn on wordsworth. 'she dwelt' was probably my favourite of the 15 we studied in class and thus I wanted to explore more of his poetry. however, i found a lot of his poetry was repetitive, with similar vocabulary and themes. i definitely enjoyed his more concise poems than his longer tales. some of his poems were breathtaking and some were duds. while i admit i'm a novice when it comes to reading and enjoying poetry (as opposed to studying it), it was more by force of will than desire of heart I completed his poetry.
