This graphic novel is short and sweet. It requires some suspension of disbelief at times, but fills in the blanks for parts of the Frozen timeline and shows Anna and Elsa growing closer together through remembering their parents.

The one thing that I disliked about this book was Anna's mother telling her that she should listen to her feelings, because they are her "truth." That anachronistic insertion took me out of the story, and even though it was just one minor detail, it diminished my ability to take this story seriously. There are lots of better and more historically accurate ways that Queen Iduna could have validated her daughter's feelings, and I'm tired of people reducing truth to someone's very real but subjective emotions.
