Probably a 3.5/5. Murderous love triangle between Yuko, Kuji, and Ippei. If ur a fan of Noh theater, this is for you. Story wasn’t as engaging as it could have been especially with this type of content, although Mishima’s writing itself is a delight, as always.
I do not know what is going on with these books I have been reading recently. Have I become stingier with my ratings or have the books been underwhelming? Full disclosure, I am somewhat ill and perhaps the constant sniffling and coughing is breaking up the flow of the stories. I will own up to some of the blame. Say 20-30% maximum.
