World building galore, TJ Klune really showed off how he could build green creek through the experiences and emotions of the pack and it felt magical at points. the cast of characters was so good! you couldn't not fall in love with how these main pack characters were written. One thing that i was sceptical on how it would pan out was the relationship between ox and joe, however seeing how they were portrayed and how much say both of them got, it was ok, but I can also appreciate how this would make a lot of people not want to read it.
there were a few nuanced points withing Klunes writing which took me a moment to get used to, specifically the words in groups of three and the he said she said etc. honestly nothing horrendous just me being a little picky with how i like to read works.
All in all I did really enjoy the book, I am excited to see how the series plays out in the other books.

If you ever read a teenwolf fanfic, then this story might seem very familiar and you will most likely absolutely love it. It is the perfect recipe of the story you stumble across at 11pm and just can’t bring yourself to stop reading until the sun comes up again. It is the perfect mix of everything you want in a fanfic and the characters are perfectly unique and still so familiar, that you’re immediately attached.
I can’t wait to read it again and I can’t stop thinking about the characters and their story. Reading it was pure comfort and happiness. I wish I could read it a new in an endless loop.

This was a very sweet book. I was not expecting that, so I was pleasantly surprised. The characters in the pack were all lovable. I was nervous about the age difference in the romance but it was very well handled. And so very cute and funny. I liked seeing the characters at different ages and how they grew, though I wish that the lighearteness of their younger days could have made a comeback toward the end. I liked the way repetition was used in the writing, the way grammar broke down when in wolf form, the humor, and that Ox was able to find better father figures and a whole family.

This book has me searching for words to describe how amazing it was. I was consumed by this book from the very beginning. From the way Ox was introduced to the way he worked through his hardships. I fell in love with every single character and felt every emotion portrayed by the TJ Klune, he truly is a wonderful story teller.
I felt such a personal connection to Ox, to his struggles and his way of protecting his pack. Him and Joe were so meant to be in every way possible

I've had this in my audible library for ages. At some point even listend to it halfway through, but I had no memories of it.
Now after reading one of Klune's recent works I wanted to give this another shot and I don't regret it.
It was an entertaining story with a different take on the a/b/o trope and the roles of wolfs.
The main characters Ox and Joe were such sweethearts you fall in love with them.
The only thing that I couldn't get out of my head, was every time it said something like "Ox growled" or "singing with his pack" was the video of that guy saying "on every level except physical I am a wolf". That ruined it a bit for me and I couldn't take it seriously.
But all in all it was good story, just try not to think of that video while reading it.

This book was bad bad bad and crap crap crap. The best part of it was before I started reading it.
The book was so disjointed in so many parts that I didn’t know what happened between one part of the writing and other parts. There was basically no flow. Ox and Joe are walking red flags, even outside of their inappropriate relationship, they are immature, whiney and possessive. The dialogues between characters were so similar that they all seemed to have the same personality- one-dimensional. The book came across as it was written by a 12 year old with a Twilight obsession, with no understanding of character-building or world-building. Maybe except for the sex scenes, I would have been completely convinced this was written by a kid. The writing was that juvenile. I don’t understand why every time Ox has an emotion, he has to write out a soliloquy about them. I’m not talking artistic, literary soliloquies- they were very whiney and he thinks he’s suffered the most or something. And it’s repeatedly used. By other characters too. There was a lot of repetitiveness. It was a long book not because a lot happened, but because there was a lot of repetition and Klune used a new line for every sentence he wrote in some parts.
The sex scenes were probably the best part of the writing tbh. They were incredibly detailed and less whiney than the other parts- all 15+ pages of it. It wasn’t great, I got second-hand embarrassment from it. It didn’t need to be that long.
TJ Klune, if this book is a reflection of your reality, please get professional help from a therapist and a psychiatrist.
