Of the series this one was my favorite! It not only tugged at but yanked at my heart strings with superhero strong characters that delighted me in a million ways.

I'm happy that this Dani storyline maintained my interest most of the time .... I hate that I have to wait another year for more .... And I want my Barrons back!
Nope. Not how I wanted it to end. That is really all I can say.
High Voltage is all about Dani; Mac doesn't even make an appearance. Honestly, I really enjoyed the focus on Dani. In the more recent Fever books, I've come to enjoy reading her POV more than Mac's. This was another great book in the series, and, although I REALLY want to read the next book, I'm going to read a few others beforehand since it's the last one currently.
I am a huge fan of KMM books. I'm leaving this review as vague as possible to avoid spoilers. I will say I do believe Ryodan and Dani may have just eclipsed Mac and Barrons as favorite KMM pairing ever.

Dani has never been my favorite character and while it took me awhile, I did eventually end up really enjoying her story. However, I enjoy her much more as a side character than following her own storyline. I feel like parts of it were kind of random and just thrown in to make the story but overall it was still pretty enjoyable.
Now I can’t wait for the final book to see what Mac & Barrons have been up to :)

I've been waiting for this book for ten years. Or was it ten months??? It's all blurred together at this point.
Not at all shockingly, I loved this book. I was a little upset when I found out there wouldn't be any more Mac narrated books, but her character was getting a little stale. I loved seeing her and Barrons and finding out what they've been up to, but her narration for this book would have been a total snooze fest.
There's a lot more backstory for Dani in this book, which I really enjoyed. I never quite grasped her character before. She just didn't make complete sense. She absolutely does now. Tragically.
A few times I thought the stuff Rhyodan did was totally douchey, but it mostly made sense by the end. I know exactly when I thought,"WOW. Dick move, bro." And you will, too. Then again, he's always been a dick, and that's why I love him. Most of the time.
